Year 5 went on a trip to the Croydon Clocktower Museum to see real history from Croydon. They were fortunate enough to handle real atrifacts from the war after a really informative presentation from an expert. They got to wear helmets and clothes that soldiers actually wore during the war. They handled a bomb shell, bullet, gask masks and many other objects that were used during the 1940s.The children were fully engrossed in the session and were full of wonder and curiousity. They couldn't wait to get back to school to find out more about the items they saw.
