Dear Parents and Carers
I am writing to provide you with an important update regarding the latest Coronavirus advice for schools and families. Firstly, thank you for your support in ensuring pupils are in school and learning during this unprecedented time with the Coronavirus outbreak. Schools are hugely appreciative of how our communities have come together to support one another.
With regards to our Trust wide position, we remain committed to following the latest government advice and as I am sure you are aware, from Monday 23rd March, school will only remain open for the children of key workers and those identified as most vulnerable. Presently, school teams are in the process of identifying which families this will apply to and this will be communicated to parents by Friday.
For those families who fall into the key worker and vulnerable category, we would like to let you know that schools are currently working on organizational plans that will be in place next week. Our future communication will give more detail about this.
For those families who school will be closed to we fully acknowledge this decision may lead to feelings of anxiety, stress and uncertainty. Please feel rest assured over the next 48 hours we will be providing the very best support and guidance for your child. In addition, plans are underway to provide high quality home learning experience packages for every pupil. Please look out for our next letter which will provide further details and information about this.
Despite the fact that your child might not be attending school, they will very much still be part of our school community and we have spoken to staff across the Trust to ensure that, we will do our utmost to keep in contact with you and your child. We anticipate this will take the form of a number of strategies, including:
- Keeping in touch phone calls
- Regular website updates
- Text messaging
- Newsletters and written communication
If you feel the school does not have your accurate information, including address and contact details, please ensure you provide the school office with this information.
Lastly, thank you for your continued support for our children and communities. We really do appreciate this.
